International Women’s Day Edition: Is This My Day?

Hola Sugarcups!!

Years after years, March 8 unwaveringly marks International Women’s Day for more than a hundred of years now. Initially it was observed to celebrate the movement towards gender equality, it has then evolved to become more than that. In the era of Technicolor, the day is celebrated to honor the achievements and successes of women and to bring awareness of progression. There are women who believes International Women’s Day is not their day because every day is their day! Well, I honestly appreciate their emotions but I’m a kind of someone who believes in ‘living up every moment’. Of course, everyday is my day but there is no harm in reminiscing the scuffle made by a few women some decades ago.

Coming to today’s post, I wanted to share what I feel right now being a woman who is a daughter, a wife, a daughter-in-law and a sister-in-law. I’m enjoying the four-fold love from everyone around me! (really blessed!) Professionally, I’m a content writer and blogger. My blog ‘Raw and Toasted’ is my baby and it is very special to me. My journey from a Masters of Business Administration to Digital Content Writer wasn’t as swift as it looks now. Just like every ambitious girl, I have a dream and I visualize it every single day. I’m so happy the law of attraction works for me like a wonder. I love my job! I love growing up with inspiration and I’m thankful to the great Almighty for blessing me with an amazing family and relatives who are my friends too!

A small learning from my life;

“Let’s just not be a victim anymore. Chunk that incredible pressure to juggle work and family, cleavage remarks, girl child abuse, being capitulated at work and confining pays. Stop being crestfallen by the demons of biased society. Get up and create your own empire. You are the king of your fate. Believe in the power that lies within you…“
